July is Parks and Recreation month, so before it lets out, we decided to celebrate some of our favorite outdoor hangouts. Get out and enjoy the fresh air at one (or all) of our favorite parks in Miami Beach.

Normandy Isle Park

Located on Normandy Island in North Beach, this neighborhood park is fully equipped with a variety of amenities for individuals and families. The spacious outdoor space includes two multi-purpose basketball courts, a soccer field, and a four lane pool. The park is lit so you can play well into the night.

Flamingo Park

This massive park located in the heart of South Beach is the place for pool lovers, baseball fans, and those who love outdoor sports. There is an eigh- lane track that is suitable for runners, bikes, and roller blades. The park also includes 17 tennis courts and a huge aquatic center perfect for kids.

North Shore Park

North Shore Park Bandshell is an oceanfront outdoor amphitheater that hosts a variety of cultural events and entertainment in North Beach. The park is managed in partnership with The Rhythm Foundation, which organizes programs such as jazz nights, zumbathon, and yoga.

South Pointe Park

On the edge of South Beach is the largest park in Miami Beach. South Pointe Park is the perfect place for your vaca photos. There are plenty of places for views like on the observation deck or a pier with Biscayne Bay, Fisher Island, Downtown, and the Atlantic Ocean as your backdrop. Other bonuses include a dog park, walkways for bikes and skateboards, and an interactive water feature.

Lummus Park

You are probably already familiar with the iconic Lummus Park since it has served as the backdrop for many TV shows like Dexter and Miami Vice. The park, only a seven-minute walk from the Winter Haven Hotel, includes beach volleyball courts, fitness equipment, and play structures for kids.
