Segway tour Barcelona

Want to see South Beach up close and personal? You could try a typical bus tour, or have some fun by trying out a Segway.  It’s probably the coolest, most tech-savvy, way to get around, and the best part is there’s no pedaling involved!

SOUTH POINTE PARK

For the best view of the ocean head down to the tip of Miami Beach. After going through the park, head to the pier and go all the way to the end.  You’ll see people fishing and taking selfies with the beautiful blue background. Sunset, though over the city, paints an orange sky here, and sunrise is over the ocean and spectacular.

ALONG THE BEACH AND OCEAN DRIVE

Head north up Ocean Drive as you weave through fit girls in bikinis on roller blades and scruffy old men on bicycles.  You will really get that Miami feel as you cruise under the palm trees and pass all the funky art deco buildings.

COLLINS AVENUE

Segwaying along Collins will give you an opportunity to window shop while you ride.  From swim shops to restaurants and more, this is as popping a street in Miami Beach as they come, and it’s just one block up from the Winter Haven Hotel!

THE VENETIAN CAUSEWAY

If you are feeling adventurous then scoot across the Venetian Causeway.  The causeway takes you through a series of bright, neat, little Miami homes, and you will get to cross a few bridges lined with tropical trees.  It will spit you out in Midtown just a few blocks from Wynwood.

WHERE TO GET ONE

Walk out of the Winter Haven and head down 14th street just a few blocks to South Florida Trikke.  If you’ve never ridden a Segway before, don’t worry; anyone can do it!  The friendly staff here will show you the ropes, and in a few minutes you’ll be on your way. It’s $49 to rent one for an hour and $79 for two hours.  And if you’d rather have a more personalized experience, you can hop on a tour at Bike And Roll Miami for just forty bucks.  Tours leave daily at 10am.
