Our Favorite Miami Beach Bartenders Provide Great Service for a Great Bar Scene

Bartender making a cocktail

Miami Beach cycles millions of people through an immense collection of world-class bars and nightclubs every year. If there’s one great challenge in running an upscale and superior food and beverage establishment, it’s working with a lot of people, especially a lot of people who are partying. Miami Beach’s renowned social culture is a testament to the fact that we have some of the best service and therefore the best establishments in the world. At the forefront of this incredible machine that systematically sustains all of Miami Beach’s good times are the men and women mixing the drinks. To provide a glimpse into Miami Beach’s elevated take on drinking and nightlife, here are a few of our favorite local bartenders.

Bryan Canales and Teddy Collins of Radio Bar

This past September, this duo from the acclaimed Radio Bar in Miami Beach competed in the popular local bartending contest— Bar Wars. The two competed against a couple of local bartenders from Macchialina and Rec Room, which are two more locally renowned bars. The two competed in a variety of competitions including one where they had to make a cocktail together without speaking. At the end of the evening, Bryan and Teddy were crowned the winners as a result of the wonderful skills we love. Checkout Radio Bar to try some great creations from this duo. A couple of our favorite Radio Bar cocktails include the Christmas in spring— a sort of cinnamon whiskey sour—and  the basil julep.

Virginia King Miami Beach

As can be read in a piece by Miami New Times and several other publications, Miami Beach’s own Virginia King is said to make a Manhattan better than anybody else. A local bartender from Broken Shaker, King recently won the Manhattan Experience Cocktail Challenge back in 2013. The contest was judged by Ted Allen from Chopped and some connoisseurs from Woodford Reserve and Esquire. Miami New Times recently placed King on their own list of best Miami Bartenders coinciding with our beliefs in her prolonged success and talent. The Broken Shaker, as a whole, seems like a sensible counterpart to King’s genius. With a legendary bloody mary and truly impressive cocktail list, this spot is a must visit.

The Bartenders at the Clevelander

While we’d love to shout out all of the individual bartenders who make this classic Miami nightclub so great, we can’t leave anybody out. This outdoor, fast moving, crowded establishment has keeps the party going smooth every single day. Unlike many quick turnover drinking establishments, Clevelander bartenders have an excellent reputation for being friendly, quick and helpful. While we recommend this bar for the quintessential Ocean Drive club experience in Miami Beach, the incredible bartenders at the Clevelander make it that much easier.
