Believe it or not, Miami is one of the only places in the country that has the right climate for growing mangos. Throughout the summer you can see giant green trees spread throughout the city, each with hundreds of oblong, green and yellow fruits dangling. For a truly immersive experience, check out the 24th Annual International Mango Festival at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. You will have the opportunity to learn about hundreds of different kinds of the fruit, and about how mangos have played in South Florida’s history. The best part, of course, is the Tasting Village!
