The annual Miami International Film Festival at Miami Dade College is coming back this March. One of the premier cultural gatherings in the South, the event has screened films by iconic directors including the Coen brothers, Werner Herzog and Alfonso Cuarôn. Among the breadth of highbrow cinema that frequents Miami, this festival has a history of attracting truly magnificent international films. Last year’s Foundation Grand Jury Prize—the highest honor—winner was The Obscure Spring, a stylistic masterpiece from Mexico with brilliantly crisp cinematography. For films like this and a whole lot more, stop by for part of this twelve-day cultural event.
