Singer-songwriter Ryan Adams is bringing his eclectic catalogue of sound right here to Miami Beach this summer at the Filmore. Adams’ North American tour has led the musician to the Coachella Music Festival in California, and to the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival in April alone. The run will continue with stops in Nashville, Memphis, Charleston, and finally, Miami Beach.
Adams will perform at the historic Jackie Gleason Theatre at the Fillmore Miami Beach on May 7th, after an opening performance by songstress Jenny Lewis.
Adams has had an impressive musical career, marked by great performances, hit records, and impressive productions. He began his career as the frontman for alternative country band Whiskeytown, before embarking on his solo career. Aside from his pursuits as a songwriter, Adams has also achieved great success as a producer. He’s put out albums for WIllie Nelson, Fall Out Boy, and other high-profile musicians.
After his Miami stop, Adams will continue his tour in Atlanta, Salt Lake City, and New York City, among other renowned destinations.
Meanwhile, the Fillmore will continue to bring great live music to Miami Beach. This historic venue dates back to 1950, and has hosted legendary television events including The Dick Clark Show, The Ed Sullivan Show, and Miss USA pageants. The Fillmore also produced Broadway shows in the 70’s and 80’s. This year, Miamians and visitors can enjoy an impressive spring and summer lineup, with performances from Earth Wind & Fire, David Crosby, My Morning Jacket, and—of course— the multi-talented Ryan Adams.
